About Me

My name is Ross Jones, a Senior at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I am studying to become a sports broadcaster, where I can finally funnel my passion into something concrete. I plan on graduating this May and have recently begun the job search process. Over the past summer I interned at KLAS (CBS-Las Vegas Affiliate) with the sports department. I worked alongside with seasoned veteran Chris Maathuis and award winning sports broadcaster Michael Berk. While at this internship I was challenged to interview local and national athletes, edit video, and help produce the final product for the nightly newscast.

I am from Southern California but have lived most of my life in Las Vegas. I have followed all types of sports for several years and I am always attaining more knowledge.

I envision this blog as a tool for sports fans, especially football fans. With the NFL Draft rapidly approaching I thought that I would keep current with noteworthy updates. The blog will include information from what type of players scouts are interested in, mock drafts, scouting combine information, and much more.
